Bovatee designs and crafts handcrafted products and accepts returns from the regions listed above. This policy explains how we handle returns, exchanges, and refunds for purchases made on our website. All financial amounts are handled in USD.

Where eligibility allows, Bovatee may provide a prepaid return label and supporting documentation to help minimize additional cross-border charges (DDP on returns where available). When Bovatee’s prepaid paperwork is utilized, nothing is due at the door.

Return eligibility

To qualify for a return:

  • Items must be new, unused, unmodified, and in like-new condition.

  • All components originally included with the order must be returned.

Not eligible (preference returns may be declined) if there is evidence of:

  • Use, wear, or damage caused after delivery

  • Modification, alteration, refinishing, or permanent installation/attachment

  • Missing parts/components

Packaging requirement

Please use the original protective materials whenever possible. If the original packaging is not available, you must repack the item to an equal or higher level of protection to prevent damage during return transit.

Natural material characteristics

Some items may contain natural materials that vary in grain, tone, knots, or surface texture. These are inherent material characteristics and are not considered defects.

If something is wrong (damage, defect, or wrong item)

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or you received the wrong item, Bovatee will correct the issue.

  • Contact timeframe: Notify us within 72 hours of delivery.

  • What to send: Your order number + clear photos (or a brief video) of the outer carton, inner packing, and the affected area.

  • Resolution: We provide return shipping (prepaid label where eligible) and offer a replacement or a full refund in USD.

  • Outbound shipping: Any outbound shipping fee you paid at checkout for that item is also refunded in issue-based cases.

For international issue-based returns, Bovatee may cover VAT/GST, duties, brokerage, and customs processing when Bovatee’s label and return documentation are used (DDP on returns where available).

Change of mind (preference returns)

Preference returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery if the item is unused and properly repacked.

  • Return shipping: Bovatee provides return shipping (prepaid label where eligible).

  • Refund amount: After inspection confirms all components are present and the item is in like-new condition, Bovatee refunds the product price in USD.

  • Outbound shipping: Original outbound shipping fees paid at checkout (if any) are not refunded for preference returns.

Items not eligible for return

  • Gift cards

  • Final-sale/clearance items

  • Custom-request or made-to-order items (unless damaged/defective on arrival)

  • Items that have been used, permanently installed/attached, modified, or refinished

How to start a return

  1. Initiate within 30 days of delivery:

  2. Damage/defect reports (within 72 hours):
    Attach photos or a brief video of the packaging and affected area.

  3. Authorization & label:
    Bovatee responds within 24 hours (Mon–Sun, PST). If eligible, we provide a prepaid parcel label (where available) and packing guidance.

Refund timing and method

After the return arrives and passes inspection, Bovatee processes the refund within 7 business days to the original payment method in USD. Store credit is available upon request.

Exchanges

Exchange requests are accepted within 30 days when inventory allows.

  • For both preference and issue-based exchanges, Bovatee covers shipping both ways where eligible.

  • Any price difference is settled in USD at the time the exchange is processed.

Taxes, duties, and customs on returns (international)

For eligible returns from covered countries, Bovatee may prepare return documentation and cover VAT/GST, duties, brokerage, and customs processing provided you use Bovatee’s prepaid label and follow the supplied instructions (DDP on returns where available).
